Poco Pad Global Launch Set for May 23: Expect Impressive Displays

Poco Global’s recent announcement on X confirms the global launch date of the Poco Pad on May 23, coinciding with the release of the Poco F6 series. Accompanied by a promotional image, the post hints at the Poco Pad being dubbed the “king of entertainment” due to its expansive display. The teaser focuses solely on the tablet’s flat screen.

The upcoming Poco Pad is rumored to be a rebranded iteration of the Redmi Pad Pro. The tablet is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a spacious 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2.5K resolution, and a robust 10,000mAh battery capable of 33W fast charging via wired connection.

Much like its Redmi counterpart, the Poco Pad is anticipated to sport an 8-megapixel primary rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel front camera with an ultra-wide lens. It’s likely to come pre-installed with HyperOS, based on Android 14. Similar to the Redmi Pad Pro, the Poco Pad is expected to feature four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, as well as connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C.

The Redmi Pad Pro is available in Dark Grey, Shallow Blue Bay, and Smoke Green color options, as per translations from Chinese. Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,300) for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants are priced at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 18,400) and CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 20,700), respectively. Poco has yet to reveal pricing details for the Poco Pad tablet.
