New Porsche 911 Carrera & Carrera 4 GTS Launch, Know the Price in India
Porsche India has initiated the booking process for its latest offerings, the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 GTS, hot on the heels of their global debut. As part of the Volkswagen Group, the renowned German automaker has not only unveiled these models but has also disclosed their pricing details. The entry-level Porsche 911 Carrera is up for grabs with a starting price of ₹19,899,000 (ex-showroom), while the more upscale Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS starts from ₹27,542,000 (ex-showroom). These price announcements mark the beginning of an exciting journey for luxury car enthusiasts in India.
The car manufacturer has announced that deliveries of the new 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 GTS in India are slated to begin by the end of this year. However, they have not provided a specific month or date for the commencement of deliveries. Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS deliveries would commence in late 2024.
New Porsche 911 Carrera & Carrera 4 GTS Launch-Specification
The latest Porsche 911 Carrera GTS introduces a hybrid powertrain, integrating a 3.6-liter flat-six engine with two electric motors. This innovative setup marks the first-ever road-legal 911 model to feature an electrified system. Generating a peak power of 533 bhp and a maximum torque of 610 Nm, this hybrid configuration enhances performance significantly. The boxer engine alone delivers approximately 480 bhp and 570 Nm of torque, while the electric motors draw power from a high-voltage battery pack to enhance dynamic power delivery. With a top speed of 312 kmph and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just three seconds, the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS promises exhilarating performance on the road.
The Porsche 911 Carrera, meanwhile, features a 3.0-liter flat-six boxer engine with twin turbochargers. This powertrain delivers 392 bhp of peak power and 450 Nm of maximum torque. With its performance capabilities, the sports coupe can achieve 0-100 kmph acceleration in 4.1 seconds, though this can be shortened to 3.9 seconds with the optional Sports Chrono package. Additionally, the sportscar boasts a top speed of 294 kmph.
