This move marks Vivo’s first foray into the global foldable phone market, as its previous foldable models were limited to China. In India, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will compete with rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open, and Tecno Phantom V Fold. Vivo’s earlier foldable devices such as the Vivo Fold 2 and Fold+ were limited to the Chinese market.

Recently, a Vivo phone with model number V2330 surfaced on Geekbench, featuring the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and Android 14, likely indicating the global variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro made its debut in China running Android 14 with OriginOS 4 layered on top. It boasts an 8.03-inch primary E7 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution of 2,200×2,480 pixels, alongside a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 1,172×2,748 pixels. Both screens support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. Additionally, it features a Vivo V3 imaging chip and incorporates a carbon fiber hinge certified by TUV Rheinland to endure 500,000 folds.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera. Additionally, both the outer and inner screens accommodate 32-megapixel selfie cameras. It boasts an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance and is powered by a 5,700mAh lithium battery, which supports rapid charging with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
