New Delhi: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni conveyed her congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his remarkable third consecutive victory in the Lok Sabha elections. She emphasized her certainty that both leaders would collaborate closely to fortify the friendship that binds their respective countries. This exchange underscores a commitment to further deepen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation on various fronts for the mutual benefit of India and Italy.
The Italian Prime Minister additionally expressed that both countries would collaborate on numerous matters that unite them, all aimed at the welfare of their respective peoples.

Earlier today, several global leaders extended their warm congratulations to PM Modi and the BJP-led NDA government for their third consecutive victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
Nepal PM Pranchanda, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth extended their congratulations to PM Narendra Modi.
With the Lok Sabha election results on Tuesday, the BJP-led NDA is poised to form its third successive government at the Centre. The verdict also brought cheer to the opposition INDIA bloc, as it put up a strong performance, particularly with the Congress.
The BJP-led NDA is on track to secure 291 seats, while the INDIA bloc is expected to win 234 seats, with other parties securing 18 seats. The Lok Sabha contest proved to be much tighter than anticipated by exit polls, which had predicted a sweeping victory for the NDA.
In his statement following the majority of the election results in the evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi affirmed that the BJP-led NDA would secure its third consecutive term in government. He emphasized that this victory reflects the determination of a developed India, the principle of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’, and the unwavering trust of the populace in India’s Constitution.
At the party’s central office, PM Modi remarked that it’s the first instance since 1962 that a government, completing two full tenures, has secured a third successive term in office. He highlighted that this marks the establishment of “new history” after six decades.
